Yes, Scarlett Johansson can actually sing; she sang in the movie Sing, and she has released several music albums.

The songs were performed by the recurring cast members: Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Tori Kelly, Nick Kroll, who appear in the film.

Like all the stars of Sing, Johansson does her own singing in the film, including renditions of Carly Rae Jepsen's “Call Me Maybe” and an all-new original song, “Set It All Free.”

Also it is worth noting that Scarlett Johansson's character Ash the porcupine has a pay dispute in “Sing 2” and she quits a gig over not being paid what she's worth.

  • Nooshy (Letitia Wright)
  • Clay Calloway (Bono)
  • Porsha Crystal (Halsey)
  • Jimmy Crystal (Bobby Cannavale)
  • Rosita (Reese Witherspoon)
  • Johnny (Taron Egerton)

Melody Hunter

Selena Gomez as Melody Hunter a 25 year old koala (Buster Moon's Girlfriend), married to Buster Moon and two kids Fiona and Hannah, at the end of the movie.

Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon as Rosita. I'm sure you've heard of Reese Witherspoon — actress, producer, and entrepreneur! She voices Rosita, a singer and dedicated mum to 25 piglets.

For Ash, she could be 18 or 19. That would still make her a teenager but allow her to rent an apartment with a day job. She might also look younger than she is, and can't find the energy to correct them.

He finally emerges on stage to sing U2's classic “I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For” with porcupine punk rocker Ash (Scarlett Johansson).

There are also some brief Christian elements, including a song about praying for one another. SING 2 has moments of peril, an intense, scary villain, and some minor objectionable content. So, MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for younger children.

Spike Jonze

Sing 2 (2021) - Spike Jonze as Jerry - IMDb.

The short answer is yes, that really is Emma Watson singing. The actress opened up about the "terrifying" experience during a print interview with Total Film. "I sing, so that's really unexpected," she said.

While Emma Stone can carry a tune, her voice lacks any real power. This becomes most noticeable in her dramatic solo "Audition (The Fools Who Dream)." Her vocals lack the emphasis of the bittersweet lyrics, but her passionate acting still provides plenty of emotion to carry the number the rest of the way.

However, their eventual employment comes after numerous rejections by so many other jobs, including the theater where Scarlet Witch tries to break into the live entertainment industry using a skill that no one knew she had until this very moment: the ability to sing.

Buster Moon (voiced by Matthew McConaughey) and friends set out to pitch an original show to oddly Trump-like hotelier Jimmy Crystal (Bobby Cannavale), a white wolf with an enormous arena to fill and nothing to draw in the crowds, joined by U2 megastar Bono as a rocker they must lure from retirement for the big night.
